China Wants To End Tibetan Identity. But You Can Help Protect It.
What’s behind China’s language of “unity,” “harmony” and “progress?” A dangerous effort to make it illegal to be Tibetan.
China’s new “Ethnic Unity and Progress Law” is a policy of forced assimilation for Tibetans into a state-controlled identity. It makes Mandarin Chinese the mandatory language of instruction, compels families to instill loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party, and allows Beijing to target people abroad who speak out for Tibetan rights.
This is forced assimilation. Don’t let this outrage go unanswered.
When you support ICT, you power our research and reporting to expose the truth and sound the global alarm about Tibet, pushing leaders in the U.S., Europe and around the world to stand against China’s assault on Tibetan identity.
Please make your gift today to help protect Tibetan language, religion, culture and human rights—and let Tibetans be Tibetan.
